“I joined the Men’s Club in 2020 while still working and only used my membership to maintain a GHIN. Upon retiring in 2022 I began playing every Wednesday and participated in every tournament. I’ve met a multitude of players and now consider some best friends. In 2023, I became a board member as ‘Handicap/New Member’ chair and began to learn so much about the game, tournaments, leagues, and SCGA, while having the pleasure of meeting golfers throughout San Diego County. I highly recommend members to become involved in the club, whether as a volunteer or board member; it’s a learning experience and very fulfilling. The Golden, Senior and Military Leagues are priceless opportunities to play different courses and meet great folks. “I was invited to participate in the Sea ‘N Air Men’s Club almost two years ago and have been a member ever since. I joined for several reasons, but at the top of the list is to improve my game, to compete and to know that I have a set tee time every week. On average, I play once a week and think that anyone who wants to improve at golf, compete at a recreational, fun, but competitive level alongside a great group of guys, should at least try it out.
