History and Features

The original course was designed by golf course architect Jack Halsey of Halsey Design. The remodeled Sea 'N Air front nine was designed by Jack's son Duray and opened in September 2007. All holes, except eight and nine, were either brand new or redesigned. The view from the 14th green offers a spectacular 360-degree view of the Pacific Ocean, Point Loma, San Diego, Coronado-San Diego Bay Bridge, Hotel del Coronado and the Coronado Beach.

In addition to being one of the most scenic oceanside golf courses on the West Coast, Sea 'N Air offers a complete golf experience with the following facilities staffed by the Navy’s Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) organization. This includes:

Driving Range: Completely refurbished in 2024-25.
Restaurant: "Take 5ive on the Greens" offers food service from 0630-1600 with the bar open until sunset. Also the "12th Hole Trailer" located between the 12th green and the 13th tee offers mid-round snacks and drinks and is open 1000-1800.

Membership Details/Signup

Fees are $75 regardless of active or retired status. Membership expires twelve months after submission of application. SCGA will notify members when renewal is due.

Additionally, male dependents, under the age of 18 years, of a regular member may join as a Junior Member. A Junior Member is subject to the same dues and initiation fee as Regular Members.
